Pink Prom Dress

Most parents-to-be invest in pink baby clothes and other items for their daughter and blue for their son. There is no ground rule regarding this, but anywhere and everywhere around the world, pink is regarded as a girls color. Whether it is the lighter shades, or the darker ones, the color pink is known to depict warmth, gentleness, love and innocence all associated with females.

Though prom night is a formal occasion, yet there are many girls who opt for a pink prom dress. This could be in any of the pink shades. The lighter shades are considered casual, but with some adornments added to it, it can create the required formal look.

The pink prom dress was popular in the seventies and eighties of the last century when the baby doll look was primarily in fashion. Every girl felt it a compliment to be called a baby doll, as they had no intentions of being glamorous. As they believed being termed as glamorous caused them to be regarded as women of the world. This meant tat they had lost their innocence and were opportunists. But then with changing times, beliefs also underwent changes.

However, what has not changed is that pink is still regarded as a girl's best friend. Till today a number of females prefer the vintage pink frill dress than the latest fads. Even if it is not in frills, then they opt for contemporary designs and patterns in this color. Most avoid the darker shades of pink as the lighter ones are available in materials that have a shimmer and shine that make them look formal and pretty.
