One of the most memorable occasions in a person's life is the homecoming prom night. This is a prom night organized as a reunion for all ex-students who have passed out of the school or college. It is generally organized by the institutes management along with a committee set up by ex-students.
This maybe an annual function or held periodically. Sometimes it could be held to celebrate a major achievement of a former student. Or then a batch may have completed a certain number years after passing out and organize a prom night to bring all batch mates together and relive their memories. Whatever maybe the occasion it is a joyous function with feelings of nostalgia.
Homecoming prom dresses are usually those that were in fashion when the former students had their prom night. They prefer to wear a style that was in vogue in their time. This adds to the excitement of the event. Some people may have stored their old prom dress or then just look up vintage dress patterns that belong to their generation of graduates.
Usually such prom parties announce the year they are celebrating. For instance, the prom night maybe for the batch of 1988. In this case all invitees or ex-students would end up looking out for homecoming prom dresses that were in fashion in that year. Not only the clothes, but also even the accessories would be in keeping with that particular year. This is not only limited to the women, but even the men would go out of their way to wear something that was worn during the time they graduated. After all occasions like this are just to celebrate past memories!
