Short Prom Dress

Instead of the full length gowns and maxis you could go opt for a short prom dress. But before doing so you need to consider a few things:

Are your parents comfortable seeing you go out for a party in a short prom dress
What length are you comfortable wearing?
Do you want to wear a short dress because you want to or because you are seeking the attention of others?
Are you comfortable wearing a short prom dress without being conscious about showing your legs?
Would a short dress suit you or make you look awkward?
Do you have shapely legs?
These factors are important, as they decide whether or not you should select something short. Prom night is to be enjoyed and not wasted in regretting what you wore. It is not that people in short dresses look prettier than those in long flowing dresses. It is all about how well you carry yourself in whatever you wear.

However, if you do decide to wear a short prom dress then there is variety of designs and patterns to select from. It could be a one-piece dress made from satin or silk or any other expensive material. The dress could be a-line or figure hugging depending on what you prefer. In case you are not interested in a one piece, then you could select from a range of skirts and blouses.

In fact skirts never go out of fashion. And you could where a knee length skirt or micro mini with a fancy blouse. The advantage of wearing a two-piece prom dress is that later on you could wear the skirt with other tops and the blouse with other skirts, trousers or jeans. Another style for a short prom dress is the baby doll dress. This could be designed with lace and ribbons and could also have frills at the hemline. It does look pretty when worn especially if designed in white or pink.
